Harvey I felt uncomfortable reading your Substack the way I feel uncomfortable when I’m told in scripture to love my enemies. I think this means there is much truth in what you wrote, and I’m challenged in my heart to extend more grace to those I disagree with and am being judgmental towards.

Thank you for calling me back to God’s heart in your Substack, especially when I don’t like the way it feels. This walking in the light is hard!!

I'll be honest, Michele, I find this hard too. There are moments when I want so badly for others to see what seems so clear to me that grace feels like a concession rather than a calling. But I keep coming back to the conviction that the prophetic tradition and the call to unity aren't opposites. They just require holding both at the same time, which is genuinely one of the harder things faith asks of us. Walking in the light together, even when the light reveals things we'd rather not see in ourselves. Grateful you're willing to do that work. So am I.
